Mirror Mirror on the Furniture....

It is safe to say that I have been obsessed with mirrored furniture. I think it is so elegant and pretty, especially for your bedroom. You can get a piece that is clean and simple, or antiqued. They are more of a delicate piece of furniture with a higher price point. You do not want a chip or crack in one of these, so be careful and buy some Windex! Below are some pieces and the places you can purchase them.

Amelie, Horchow
Mirrored Chest, Overstock
Side Table, West Elm
Mirrored Chest, Pottery Barn
Antiqued Chest, Anthropologie

Look Out: 2011 Fall Trends

Print on Print.

Block that Color.

Fur, Fur, and more Fur.

60's silhouettes.

Dot.

Take your work clothes to a new level.

Need to know...
Print, Color, Fur, 60's, Dots, and Tux.
These styles are bright, bold, and not here to mess around! The print and fur are no surprises at all, but I am loving the 60's styles, and always love my polka dots. Keep these trends in mind when you are doing your Fall shopping!

Sprinkle Shower Cupcakes

I recently learned that a baby shower for your second child is called a "sprinkle"! I made these buttercream and vanilla cupcakes for my cousin in-law that is expecting a girl! I use scrapbook stickers and other scrapbook supplies as cupcake toppers frequently. They are thick and durable, and most have paper on the back that keeps it from being sticky until use.  The "mother of 2 to be" does not like standard confectioners sugar sprinkles...(crazy, right?), so I used the crystal sugar sprinkles for this batch. The take away gift from my sister was a mason jar filled with sprinkles and two hershey kisses, with a note that said, "Two kisses from baby and Julia". Adorable!

Frame it Up

Using your captured memories is the best way to create art in your home. Here are just a few different directions you could take.

Framed and Frameless, multi-color and size.

All about the symmetry.

Different size frames, consistent black and white colors.

Consistent colors, creating a great composition.

Linear and Uneven, great for hallways.

Begin by buying your favorite frames and snapping some pictures, you can always play around with your collage later. I am going to do a wall of all black and white photos, except one that will be in color, keeping all the frames the same color, but not the same size.

What would you like to do?
